Transparency & Credits

AniTok is an independent anime-themed project created and developed by a 20-year-old computer science graduate.

AniTok was built as a personal initiative to improve my skills, experiment with anime-related features and create something useful and enjoyable for anime fans.

This page explains who created AniTok, where some of its data and assets come from, and how certain parts of the platform are handled.

About AniTok

AniTok is a website dedicated to anime discovery, recommendations, community interaction and optional personal organization features.

The platform includes features such as anime search, anime pages, comments, recommendations, likes, a vertical recommendation feed, community rankings, profile customization, optional user lists and small anime-themed games.

AniTok is still evolving, and some features may change, improve or be removed over time as the project grows.

Created by an Independent Developer

AniTok was created and developed by a single independent developer. The project was built as a personal initiative to improve my skills, experiment with anime-related features and create something useful and enjoyable for anime fans.

I am a 20-year-old developer with a computer science diploma, and AniTok is the result of my own design, development, testing and continuous learning.

Use of AI Tools

During the development of AniTok, I used tools such as ChatGPT as a support tool for brainstorming, planning features, improving code, debugging, writing text and organizing some parts of the project.

ChatGPT and similar tools were used as assistants during development, but AniTok remains a personal project created, managed and maintained by me.

Anime Data Source

Anime-related metadata shown on AniTok, such as titles, descriptions, images, genres, episode counts, release information, rankings and other anime details, is mainly provided through the AniList API.

AniTok may temporarily store or cache selected AniList metadata in its own database in order to support features such as search, anime pages, personalized recommendations, user lists, rankings, games and performance improvements.

AniTok does not aim to act as a backup, mirror or replacement for AniList. Some stored metadata may be periodically refreshed, reduced or removed when it is no longer needed for the platform's features.

AniTok is not affiliated with, endorsed by or officially connected to AniList unless explicitly stated otherwise.

AniList Attribution

AniTok uses the AniList API for anime metadata. AniList is a separate service and AniTok is not affiliated with, endorsed by or officially connected to AniList.

When available, anime pages on AniTok may include a direct link to the corresponding anime page on AniList.

You can visit AniList at anilist.co .

Images, Videos and Graphic Assets

Some images, videos, icons, SVG files, pixel art, decorative elements or other graphic assets used in profile customization, presets, badges or visual sections of AniTok were not created directly by AniTok.

Some of these assets may come from external sources such as SVGRepo, Pixabay, FreeSVG, Tibbixel and other websites that provide free or licensed assets.

All external assets belong to their respective creators or rights holders. AniTok does not claim ownership over third-party assets unless explicitly stated.

User-Generated Content

AniTok allows users to create or interact with different types of content, including comments, anime recommendations, likes, lists, profile customization, badges and other social features.

User-generated content reflects the opinions and actions of individual users and does not necessarily represent the views of AniTok or its developer.

AniTok reserves the right to moderate, hide or remove content that is inappropriate, harmful, abusive, spam-like, illegal or otherwise against the rules of the platform.

Beta and Experimental Features

Some parts of AniTok are currently experimental or still in development. Features such as AniMatch, UserCard customization and other sections may be considered beta features.

Beta features may contain bugs, missing functionality or design changes. They may be updated, redesigned or removed in future versions of AniTok.

Account Linking and List Import

AniTok may allow users to connect an external account, such as an AniList account, in order to import anime lists or improve the user experience.

Imported data may be used to provide features such as optional personal lists, recommendations, rankings and personalized anime discovery.

Account linking is intended to make AniTok more complementary to external services and to improve discovery features, not to claim ownership over third-party account data.

For more information about how user data is handled, users should refer to AniTok's Privacy Policy.

Privacy and User Data

AniTok may store user-related information such as account data, anime lists, comments, recommendations, likes, preferences, profile customization data and other information required to provide the platform's features.

Details about how personal data is collected, stored and used should be explained in AniTok's dedicated Privacy Policy.

This Transparency & Credits page does not replace the Privacy Policy or Terms of Service.
